I got the opportunity to try out a friends rifle, Shooting Prone with a sling, shooting 600 yards with peep sights.

Using a SIUS Electronic Scoring System, I can tell you I was a bit nervous shooting at a 10-14k target system for my first try ever shooting like this!

155s

he was doing some testing with powders..

"Started doing some testing today with IMR 8208XBR, AR-Comp and 2000MR. I got some results that I am pretty happy with. Ill post the results once I get them pulled from the Magnetospeed. But I had loads with 2 different powders that had SD's of 6."

Do I hear him say 3000 for velocity? What's his set up on loads?

The loads for the US Palma Team were several years ago 45.3 grs. Mulwex 2208 which is now Varget with the Sierra 155 gr. Palma bullet. Barrels were 30" length with 1-13 or 1-14 twist rates.

The shooter needs serious instruction on usage of the sling, body position! The buttplate is down against the arm instead of up into the shoulder! With the weather aside....I'd say you'd be lucky to be able to hit due east!!

The rifle was not set up for me at all, A friend of mine, A national champion in the sport asked If I wanted to try it.... AHHH DUHHH yes!

After he said you did pretty good for not knowing what your doing or having the rifle set up for you.

I look forward to having him teaching me how to do it right :D

What kind of jack off gives someone a hard time about not having perfect form the first time they try the sport? Especially when you are calling him out for things that are not correct? The ADJUSTABLE buttplate was in his shoulder where it should have been. Thank you for being an ambassador to Palma!

I'll second that. Great promotion of the sport there bud. Way to show those anti gunners what kind of people we are.
