I am looking into the .375 Norma was wondering if anyone could give me some reviews on the round. I like the thought of the 375 on a standard length action. I would be interested in what you guys have done and seen with this cartridge.

I already have multiple rifles on the .338 platform and want to try something new. Pretty sure I can get more out of the 260 grain .375 than I can the 250 grain .338 I might be wrong that is why I'm asking if anyone has expierence with this round.

It is just a "want it" rifle. I have been going back and forth between the .375 and the .358 calibers and like the Norma case as it allows me to use standard action lengths. I am leaning to the .375 for bullet selection, although I think the .358 would perform nicely on the Norma case. I have played with the 375/408 and it is a very impressive caliber but it doesn't fit the platform I am trying to hit. I'm wanting to build an 8 - 9 LB rifle (scoped) on a standard action length. I was wondering what kind of velocity people were seeing on this cartridge so I could optimize my barrel length.

I have a 29" #5 contour 12 twist Brux bbl getting fluted and then will be installed on a blued Rem 700,

This cartridge is similar in power to the 375 RUM but in a shorter COAL, reamer will be available for LRH members after my rifle is completed !
I also own the reamer for a 416 version

Neck length on the parent case 338 NM is the same at .342",
case water capacity is estimated by the Quick Design software used to crunch the numbers,
you may be correct as I have noticed that Quick Design most always lists higher case capacities than the Ammo Guide website... won't know for certain until I have some fired cases to check with !
The purpose of this cartridge is for hunting brown bear up close and moose at normal distances out to 500 yards in an easy to carry mid weight 8-9 lb rifle,

I've not been a 375 Ruger fan but I'm starting to look into it. It seems ballistically similar to the Norma.
Are we talking about the 338 Norma necked up to a 375? If so I think you have to decide what you'd rather say you shoot and what brass options you'd prefer.
I do like the 30.06 length idea that's why Im digging the Ruger.

When I started this project I looked at the 375 Ruger and was not impressed as it did nothing more than duplicate the 375 H&H, I wanted more capacity !
The 375 Ruger case is longer and has a shorter neck but with less case capacity and requires deep seating of bullets further reducing valuable powder space, and you are stuck with Hornady brass !
If you take an 8x68s case and maximize its dimensions you will basically recreate the 375 Ruger ballistics and end up with better brass too !
The 375 PRO has a shorter case length, case is fatter offering more powder capacity, and is designed so bullets are seated to base of neck not impacting powder space, Norma made brass is much better and can use 338 Lapua brass cut down (working that process out now, a bit of work but is do-able)
that there offers more brass options as several other manufacturers make 338 Lapua brass besides Lapua

The 375 Norma is very close to the 375 RUM, my choice would be the 375 Lapua imp it gives great performance with the lighter CE bullet.
