Nightforce will be shipping these in April. We will be getting quite a few of them for our LRH members.

Our pre-sales will start in a couple of days.

As I said in the other thread, I bought my first Nightforce scope about 14 years ago. It has been fascinating to watch the progress of the company over these years and especially the last 1.5 years. In summer of 2012 I had a 4 hour private tour of the Nightforce headquarters which I wrote about here.

I remember being so impressed with the forward thinking going on there. It was obvious they were preparing for a major push on new technology and new products.

This one will be a game changer. A NIGHTFORCE brand scope for just under $1,000. Who would have thunk?

One of only 3 available samples is on its way to me as we speak. I will mount it on one of my personal rifles and do a quick review for LRH. I'll take close-up photos, ring out the turrets, make my own weight measurements, test the illumination feature, etc.

Here is a download link for the new Nightforce 2014 catalog.

I don't know much about the turrets but I have a phone call in to the national sales manager.

I do know that the literature says something like "finger adjustable". I just don't know if there is an inner dial that you get your fingers around or if its something that you put your fingers on top of to sort of spin.

A no frills scope; with a good zoom range and solid features, all bottled up with NF etched on the side for under 1k.....

It really is a great time to be in the market for a new scope!

OK - this hit right in the middle of me trying to figure out a scope to buy on another hunting rifle I'm getting up and running.

I only have one scope without a zero stop and I've messed things up twice. Both times was practicing on rocks so no harm done. How have you guys done running a no zero stop to always have that warm and fuzzy feeling you are truly on zero ?

If this thing had a zero stop I'd be all over it.

Put a big enough rail on & you don't need a zero stop :)

Count the moa or turns to top or bottom & note it on the scope or rifle is a convenient way of checking if in doubt

While I have not received mine yet, I was told there is a revolution index marking system that will make it easy to keep track of which turn you are on.

Rather have a ZS, but hey, it's under a grand.

Warning! This thread is more than 11 years ago old.
It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
