What is the total weight?

Do you pick a spot and set up the gun stand? If you decide to move to another location, do you take a part or keep a whole gun stand and put it in the truck?

I've seen Darryl Cassel doing that years ago.

We pick a spot and wait there all day. Usually the spot is really big or able to see more then one mountain. The deer usually get up once or twice a day and walk around. It comes apart and goes all together and has straps to pack it in. It only takes about 5 minutes to set up.

I like it!!!!! My wife usually asks if I'm taking the shiny gun for her to shoot when hunting. In your case you would have to say, ABSOLUTELY!!!!

That setup would be a hoot to see in action.

What is the object mounted on top of the scope? Very nice setup and I assume very accurate.[/QUOTE It is a Vortex Sparc red dot. I also have red dot mounted on my Kowa Highlanders. When glassing with the big eyes and you find a deer; the other guys can come over and look through the red dot and see where in the mountain you are looking and go back to there glass and put there red dot to that place and look through there glass and the deer is usually in the view. I use this to get the gun on the deer. It has a bigger field of view and makes finding that part of the mountain easier and faster. lightbulb Ps. Go down a couple of pages and read 338 Lapua with Re 33 thread. Tells about velocities and describes gun.

We did very good with this gun. First day my 12 year old grandson missed one at 1670 yards. The wash looked like it sailed over the back by mere inches. Then we shot 4 in a row with 1 shot kills. The biggest was an 9 point with 18" spread. Then my buddy shot a 7 point with 14" spread. Then my grandson shot a one antlered spike with a 9" spike. Then on the last morning a friends 12 year old grandson shot a 6 point. The 300 grain Bergers worked great. Two of the buck dropped in there tracks and two of them went about twenty yards. I will try to post pictures as soon as I have time. Matt

Looks like a great sheep or goat pack rifle. Lol. What type of terrain are you hunting.

What action is it? Also what brand and what diameter barrel? How long is the barrel block?

Thanks.

Sweet rifle btw. You need to hit some 600/1000yd BR matches.
