I'm in the process of getting my thoughts together for a "budget" build. I acquired a weatherby Vangaurd in 22-250. Can I rebarel it to a 6.5 creedmoor? Or do I need to have more work preformed?

I built my creedmoor off a 22-250. I have had problems getting shells to fit in the magazine but I never really use the mag so I have never looked at solving the problem.
The gun is a delight to shoot and I would build another one in a heartbeat.

I also have a 6.5 creedmoor built off a VLS that was originally a 22-250. Mine sits in a manners mini-chassis so I can't comment on feeding out of a BDL style magazine. No problems with mine.

I ended up keeping the 22-250 stock and bought a savage model 12 LRP in creedmoor. Momma wasn't excited but the storm has calmed for now
