Putting together a 308 to reach 1000yds w/ 26" tube and 210gr berger. I am trying to figure out how much scope I can get/need. I will be using a 20moa base and I am sold on a sightron siii but stuck between 8-32 (70min), 6-24 (100min), 6-24ffp (80min) or maybe even a 6.5-20 (60min).

The Zeiss 6.5-20x50 is a great one. Vortex Viper HS LR 6-24x50 is another good one.

Of course, I can't afford a NF NXS, but if I could, it would be a 8-32x56 MOAR reticle.

EGW HD bases are great, I have 4 of them currently. TPS TSR rings are also great.

I like to be able to dial for the distance I want to shoot so I need a 20 moa base or a scope with allot of elevation.

Which is what I want to do also. I am asking if the above elevation adjustments will be adequate w/ the mentioned load and a 20moa base.

Using JBM and guesstimating the 210 VLD will be going approx. 2400 fps at the muzzle you would need 38.3 moa up from a 100yd zero from my location, 2300 ft and 70 degrees.
With a 20 moa base any scope with at least 60 moa total travel should work if you only want to go to 1000yds.
If it was me I would go for something with at least 75-80 moa.
