I am having a 6.5 Creedmoor built at the moment 24" barrel and I really wanted to use H4350 and Berger 140 hybrid but due to the sudden high demand in powder (hoarders) and the newer amazing 140 hybrids I cannot find any of these. Soooooo I picked up Hornady 140 A-Max for the availability and I've always had good luck with the A-Max. If anyone has any other powder that worked well, let me hear about it. Or if you have H4350 for sale or know where to get it let me know. I do shoot year round and in all temps and conditions.

Oh yeah and I'm in Virginia... Sunday sunny 80 degrees Monday rain and 60 degrees Tuesday sunny 40 degrees Wednesday 30 degrees and snow Thursday 55 degrees Friday 60 degrees Saturday 75 degrees.

wish out weather was that stable in SD. Any way if you can find the h4350 i have used 41.5 with good success so far. Going to run over chrony this weekend to check speeds

Rl17 is a good alternative and you can run the same loads as H4350, normally.
It is temp sensative in my rifle but worth a try.

I load for my brothers creedmoor and his go to load is 41 grains R17 with the hornady 140 SST. Not a super fancy rifle but it shoots that load in the .250.

Good luck, I am impressed with that cartridge.

Yeah I go to long range shoots once a month and I started on a .308 and I'm here to tell you that you learn to dope the wind with that flying rock. So now its time to step my game up a bit. I sat down with a list of calibers and I finally chose the Creedmoor. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'm pretty excited

I have seen a few people loading 41.5 gr of H4350, if you look at Hornady's reloading manual it's over the max load for 140 gr A-Max. Where did you get your load data.

If you get factory loaded 140gr match ammo it is 41.5 Grains of H4350 and a Federal 210M primer to reach a muzzle velocity of 2700fps. I am running 41.8 grains of H4350 with just a Federal 210 and I am at 2750 with an E.S. of 10. All with the 140 A-MAX. Still trying to find Berger 140 hybrids. That would be optimal. I've shot as far as 895 yards so far but there are two 1000 yard ranges near me that I'd like to try.

Looks like you got H4350, but if you are still looking for some, the sporting goods store in Winchester has it or did on Sat. Limit 1#/person/day so take a friend or two if you go. H

Sporting goods store? Winchester VA?

Old Dominion Sports Center on 2828 Valley Ave, Winchester VA 540-667-4867 has or had over the weekend H-4350 and I think 4895 and some other stuff-I would call first before making a trip.

Steele Reloaders at 694 N. Loudoun St, Winchester, 540-535-1212 has reloader 19 and 22 and maybe others. He has funky hours and has had phone issues. Good luck. H
