Stretched my LRKM is 338 Terminator +P out a little today. Condition were less than ideal with a gusting 7:00 wind from 8 to 12 MPH. and pretty bad mirage. But I managed to get 3 out of 4 into a hair over 1 moa at 2971 yards. Took 119 moa. Impact velocity was sub-sonic at 1025 fps, impact energy was 700 lbs, and flight time was 5.217 seconds. It was an "on time departure"

Pretty happy really. first round was exactly 1 moa low, dialed up and it responded accordingly. It is tough to spot hits at that distance, especially if you are counting "one thousand one, one thousand two........." But believe it or not I could see chunks falling off the face of the cliff.

Congrats, sounds like that LRKM is treating you nicely. I am in the market for one just cant decide between the 338 Edge +P or that awesome rig of yours the 338 Terminator +P. I imagine they are both extreamly accurate I havent heard anything else coming out of those DE rifles. Anyway nice shooting and congrats is that the first time you have shot that far?

Thanks! Actually it is. I have done quite a bit in the 2500 range but I have been looking hard for the place to get 3K where my RF will still report. Now that I found it I will be going to 3K soon by simply backing up a bit. Might even try to get some video of that if time permits.

Nice! can't wait to see the footage I did see that you shot around 2400 or something in the other thread from when you got it. Very informational thread by the waty I learned alot from you fellas. Keep it up I really look forward to more progress you make.

2.43 Seconds lag time. Wind drift 43 inches per MPH full value cross wind. Few have had the pleasure to experience just how difficult this is.....Enjoy and nice shooting. 1 MOA with that lag time is difficult.

Thank you. I appreciate it. The wind was mostly from behind me I called it 7:00.

Still took about 10 moa though..:)

Great shooting Jeff :)

It is very strange with such long flight times.

The spotter is sitting there thinking "where did that go ???" then smack, "Ohh there it is "

As you say one thousand & one, one thousand & two......

After shooting plenty of rounds with 4-5 second flight times, I grabbed my 300 Blackout & had a go at 377 or so, I can still remember thinking, on seeing the impact, "Man that got there fast" :)

I hear ya Greg. I have a 17 fireball that has reached 4100 fps on a good day. Shooting steel at 300 yards with it is almost instantaneous and you never loose sight picture.

Great shooting Jeff!! I'm looking forward to the distance of your elk this year. gun)

Went out with the 308 Saturday and threw some lead. Early morning shot very well at 800 yards was shooting a rock with face of roughly 7" . Shot three rounds with all three hits with no wind at 36*. Mid afternoon went back to do it again with a 5-7mph 3 o'clock wind with 2 of 5 shots being hits and the other three being roughly 6" left of my rock. 168gr pills just don't handle the wind like the 300s. Lol
