Just picked up my new 7mm Remington Magnum from Travis at R Bros last Saturday and could not be happier!

LWLR Hunter
7 Rem Mag

Rogue Action, 1pc fluted bolt
Broughton LWLR Contour, 27" Fluted, 1-9 Twist
Manners EH-1, 13" LOP, 2 front studs, 1 rear
BDL Floorplate
20 MOA Alum Rail
Jewell Trigger
3 Port DE Brake
Saddle Cheekpiece
Matte Black Metal
R Bros Woodland Camo
NightForce NXS 5.5-22X50 NPR-1

Below is a pic of the rifle and one of the first groups through the rifle on Sunday. Not really an "official" target, but I wasn't really expecting to shoot those kind of groups out of the gate! Of all the groups I shot that day finishing up the break-in, none were over a half inch and three other groups should have been in this range if it weren't for the loser driving that pushed a couple left. If you are looking to have a rifle built, I highly suggest you give Travis a call. He builds a great rifle and is a great guy to deal with!

Mean looking rig! I like it :)

Have you figured a velocity for your 180's yet?? I'm running a 28" barrel on my 7RM, 68 gr Retumbo gets me 2900...

Just curious :)

Sweet shootin'

Sweet shootin'

A buddy of mine shoots a 7saum and gets 2900 with the 180bergers out of a 26" barrel with 58grains of H4831SC.

Seems like if you guys with the 7rem mags would go with a faster powder like H1000 and get velocities in the 3000+ range.

That's why I was asking :) I agree...

Tried upping the load but seemed that accuracy suffered. Didn't seem to like H1000 either. Gun just might like to take it nice and slow I guess, oh well.

Last time to the range with it @ 600 yards, cold bore, on steel a gong, 2 shots and the dimples were touching so I guess it'll do for now...

He might want to check his Chono, my 7 SAUM w/ 25" barrel gets 2750 with 58 gr H4831 w/ 180's and is on par with Bergers numbers in their loading manual.

Thanks for the comments on the new rifle! Got a chance to shoot a bit yesterday evening out to 650 to start verifying drops. The rifle is performing as promised and is easily sub .5 MOA out to that range even with me running it!

very nice and good shooting rig.i wouldn't change a thing.my 7mm mag didn't like h1000 either. mine loves rl22 and i just bought some retumbo to try.
