Syn stock....probably SST metal..
What say you? Good rifle?....Good cartridge..??..Accurate? ( its not some bench rest gun now)
Stock...off the rack...plain old rifle.

Sully, you could probably buy that gun for cheap, and put it in a B&C Weatherby stock like they make for the Accumarks and bed the lug and action and have a real shooter for a REAL good price.

For the record, you KNOW that's a badass caliber...You don't need them to tell you that. :D

Let me know a out the .25-06 AI stuff...I am planning on ordering stuff probably next weekend (not this up-coming weekend) from Midway, so just let me know.

I dont want to go into it with the decisions Im changing everything... Just buy it....scope it well...and zero it in and see what she can do..

There was a guy on here shooting some nice groups @ 970-something yards with an out-of-the-box Vanguard S2 .257 Wby...So I'd assume they're fairly accurate.

I remembe the thread was in the Long Range Hunting & Shooting section. But can't remember what thread it was, or who posted it.

I just fired two groups at 220 yards with old model Vanguard that went 3/4" and 1 1/4". Straight factory. It is a great shooter with anything but Hornady GMX bullets.

I see you also drive a Cummins...You have good taste in trucks, as well. I do too. I just sent you a friend request over on CF. I go by AMM over there. You MIGHT know who I am over there.

My Accumark .257 Wby shoots insane, as well. I see the S2's are around $1K.....And the Accumarks now retail for over $2K.....I only paid $1,300 for my Accumark brand new, so I guess it doesn't sting so bad that a sub-$1,000 rifle is shooting almost as good! LMAO :D

I hardly ever get on CF any more. I was around on it until it all started changing. Then I jumped over to diesel bombers where I later became a vendor but I'm going to let that lapse after this year. I stick with CompD any more. If you have been to any of the big diesel events in the last 2 years you might know of me and my wife. She has a super street / 10.50 index truck she calls "Heartbreaker" it was in Diesel World back in Dec in the girls gone diesel edition.

I've kinda been slowly dying out of the diesel performance scene...Too many people have treated me like crap on CF for no reason. So, I decided it best to put my money, time, and effort back into my guns and shooting, like it was before I had a Cummins. Since those hobbies don't require me to deal with a bunch of pricks. LOL I have never been to any of the big meets, so I doubt I would have seen yall. You seem like a good guy, so don't think I'm lumping everyone on CF into that category, just a few bad apples that spoiled it for the rest of them. I haven't even joined a Mustang forum and I've had my '13 GT 5.0 for almost a year now and barely done anything to it. I haven't even tinted the windows yet...Which is generally the FIRST thing I do when I buy a new vehicle.

yeah the forums dont really depict what the actual performance community is like at all

if you have facebook i'd like to catch up with you on there seeing how we both like cummins engines and weatherby rifles

sully sorry for the derail.....did you buy that rifle yet?

No FB for me.

Yeah, sorry for the derail Sully.

Yeah, hurry up and buy it so I can get your .25-06 AI stuff! :D

LOL

Im trying to get things settled on a 257. If I cant get what I want done the way I want it...then I WAAYYY $$$ ahead to keep the AI PITA and have to fire form everything that gets fired in it.
