I drove over to Cabelas on the 17th looking for some 165gr SSTs to do some loading, not one box. I was just about to start my bitching the fact is they have never have any Bullets.
I took a walk around back to check out a new gun case. and what did I find? some person had hid two baxes back behind some items. I scarfed them up. I hope some guy was ticked off that I found them.
Well another bit of good news, I had bought a pound of IMR 8208XBR, thinking I could use it for
just my .308 I also found it workked in my .3006 I
shot a few rounds for testing it worked better than all my other powders that I have on both calibres. It shot better than the old 4064. I was one hapy camper. All were under one inch
@100 if you get a chance give this powder a try. If lightning strikes twice it may make your day.

I hate it when people play hide it for later/ their buddies. I'll either put the stuff back or buy it myself if I need it. I sincerely hope it torques them off a bit. It's good that you've gotten what you need for your rifle man.

I'm Not going to lie. One time, I hid 2 lbs or H1000 at cabelas because there was a 2 lb limit. I had just picket up 2 lbs of 7828ssc. My success (although it was slightly shameful) was attributed to the fact that I hid them in the women's section lol. Does this make me a dirt bag? I had some moral issues with this but I also have a 22-243 to load for!

I am not the ultimate judge of such things -BUT- In my book the Purple Heart emblem in your signature line absolves you from a "dirtbag" label. Especially for a mere two lbs of H1K tucked into a camo brazier.

If it was the Cabela's in Dundee, I would recommend a stash spot in a pair of ladies size 4 jeans. Ain't seen too many size 4's walking around that store. Some size 4 clothes maybe, but only the highly elastic type...

Thanks for your service!

Ha I don't see the elusive size 4 around snohomish, Wa much either. And thanks again, Iraq was a lot harder on those of us who didn't get to stay inside the FOB and have hot chow every day lol

Hornady must have had made a run of SST because I just bought a box 162's from Midsouth.

Now if Hodgdon would just run a few tons of H1000, I'd be happy.

As a Purple Heart Nam vet, just wanted to say "WELCOME HOME".
