338 hornady cases verses win cases

i have had to get hornady cases to replace my winchester cases .problem is hornady cases are leaking gases around primer and no expansion in case head .a full 200 ft shy of vel with win cases and win cases show no sings of preshur at all. does eney one know whear i can find win cases thanks

Just get Lapua cases from Graf's and call it good.

I'm starting to lean away from win brass myself. I don't like "uniforming" primer pockets until my fingers fall off because they are too dang shallow to even get the primers flush.
Most of my 338 win brass is win but I've also necked up quite a bit of 7 rem remmy brass I was given from people who traded 7 rems a few years ago. Necking brass may be a viable option for you.

IMO, Winney and Remmy need to sray in Washington DC. I care for neither. Fine for straight walled pistol cases but not much else......

They are slipping the last number of years, aren't they..... I hate to pay the import brass prices, but as I cycle my brass out in the coming years I'll surely have to look that way.

ya 3 or 4 will be fine and then 1 or 2 not good i have ben loading 338 win sence 1993 i think with about 4000 rounds down range and these are the onaly cases to blow gass around primers and not swell case heads.

Like everything else in this country. Federal is still good, at least the gummit end. Lapua brass is stupid expensive but candidly, I'm buying more and more because it's consistent and very re-reloadable.

I was surprised that Joyce Hornady put out such an inferior case, almost like there was no pre-testing done.

You don't market a case and then find out after the fact that it's no good and then change it (as I hear they did on later runs). Thats poor business practice. Especially with something that goes bang.

I like the PPU cases, they are reasonable price wise but their loaded rounds (IMO) are crap. Like Lapua, they use Vitavouri-Oy powder.
