SOLD/EXPIRED WANTED 300 Win Mag Reamer

Looking for a Match or Tac Match reamer for a 300 win. Want a no turn neck but a little more free-bore than usual.

If you have anything you would sell and it is in perfect shape please tell me what you have.

I don't want to wait the 2 months or more to have one ground.

You might try Manson. They had numerous reamers in stock the last time I called and needed a couple. They cut better than the PTG reamers I have too. You can always set the throat with a separate throating reamer.

I have been told that the separate throat reamers are not as good of method. It was explained that it is almost impossible to get it dialed in to the same plane as the chamber reamer.

Thoughts????

In general a reamer will follow the bore provided it is allowed to float freely (ie: no side loading). The separate throater would probably be better by hand with a tighter pilot because it cuts so little compared to the rest of the reamer. I think you'd be fine that way but like you I'd rather it be a all in one process if possible.

Even with a floating reamer head?
Have had a couple of 243AI throated long and did not see a problem.

May not be the best method though. Look forward to what others ave to say.

Agreed, Plus I need a new reamer anyway.

Manson is a solid 6 months out, JGS was solid at 20 weeks, PT&G who knows when it would show up 8 week to 8 months all custom grinds.
