I have the chance to trade a used marlin 917 stainless in 17hmr for a brand new 870 wing master supermag. Is this somthing to jump on I'm new to the shotgun world. Thanks for any an all help.

It will not hurt to compare prices on the net, also the 870 is like the rem 700 of the shotgun world, wingmaster is the higher end model.

Def jump on that trade...you'll thank yourself in 5-10-20 yrs when that wingmaster is worth many times more than that used marlin 17hmr. Probably kill alot more with it too.

They make a wingmaster magnum, I have one myself. Maybe thats what he meant?

Thanks. She sure is pretty after I got home I took a look at that ol marlin an said why not called the guy up an grabbed her. She's a good addition to my stoeger over under
Since I just picked up another one myself.....it's not a super mag if its a wingmaster...it's just a magnum. Most wingmasters were 2 3/4" only. The mags are 3". Great guns IMHO.

Yeah they are over the weekend I put about 500 rounds through her very smooth.
