Pillar bedding after bedding stock?

I recently traded for a Remington 700 300 rum, stainless with a laminate stock. The stock has already been bedded but they didn't pillar bed it. Can a guy pillar bed the stock after its already been bedded.

Try it like it is first. Then if it doesn't shoot as well as you like try torque tuning starting at
35 inch pounds and working up in 5 pound increments to a max of 50 inch pounds.

If you install pillars after bedding install them flush with the receiver in the bedding and them trim the pillar under the floor metal almost flush and bed the floor metal.

3rd option Install pillars and re bed the action (Recommended)
