I shoot a 300 weatherby with a 180gr accubond and i cant get the tightest groups with it, i do hand reload and was wondering if anyone hand any tips for a better bullet to try out of my gun

You have enough case capacity to handle all commercial available 30s up to the 230 gr. Why not try a higher BC bullet in the 200gr+ if you have components available. The list can be quite large and some of my favorites are the Berger Hunting line, A-Max and Sierra Match King along with Accubond (maybe the 200 Accubond will work a little better).

What he said has worked for me.

In my experience Accubonds need a bit of a jump to the lands. Back off a couple of thousands and see what you get.

+1. All rifles are different but I have also found this to be true. I have a 300WSM that is magazine length limited and dictates 180AB's 30 thou off the lands. I was surprised at how well they shoot. I have backed them off in other rigs as well and have seen the same effect.

What is your barrel twist and what type of shooting/hunting are you looking to do? Also, what types of groups are you currently shooting, and out of what set-up? The more detail you can provide the better!

Accubond are EXCELLENT bullets.

There is all kinds of weird stuff in this world, but generally speaking if you cant get Accubond to shoot I don't see how you'll get Berger to shoot. I shoot Berger in my 338 and my 300 rum and they're great but it was always easier and faster to get the Accubond to shoot. The only reason I shoot Berger is because of the higher BC, but that seems to be changing...

I'm shooting a weatherby sub Moa with a 26" barrel with 1:10 twist with a zeiss conquest hd5 5x25 sighted in at 200 yards and I'm getting 2.5" groups at 100 yards

I'm glad you like them. I'll sell you mine.
Bergers shoot better than ABs in all the rifles I've tried them in, but some others can shoot better. My .260 likes 140gr SSTs better then ABs or Bergers.

Yup, straight up dude if it wont shoot a 180 Accubond over 80gr of RL-22 or 84gr of 7828 you have a gun problem not a load problem.

What is your load?
Unless its an older Weatherby? If so you have a 12 twist and need to drop back to 165s or perhaps a 180 Partition.

Good luck!
