Hey,

You guys have probably been expecting a thread like this: I am looking for .22lr ammo. Pleas reply with any information leading to a place where I can get some.

Well, here it is, can you guys help us out?

Thanks again guys!

22lr...It has been non existent around here. My guess is the store workers are buying it before it hits the selves and selling online. Or they are scooping it up for friends.

Second guess...The unemployed sleeping out front waiting for the shipment to arrive.

I spoke with someone at ammo counter and said they had about 15 people waiting before opening of store offering to help unload the truck in order to have first pick.

The way to beat this is to not pay outrageous prices from people selling online. private sellers or dealers. It will just give them incentive to keep swarming the stores buying more than they need and then going to craigslist and classifieds selling at a higher price. No matter how desperate you are! It is a part of the problem. imo.

When demand far exceeds supply, I don't know of a better arbiter of scarce resources than price. You either pay the market price or you don't get any. The choice is yours.

Pay the price, wait in line, or don't get any.

I suppose there is the TX method where you pay a homeless guy to wait in line for you. Since TX allows ticket scalping there were always indigent people in line to buy tickets for somebody who was going to resell them.

Most of the people waiting in line are employed. No suits, but a few from Dell, few small business owners etc. Scout master at Walmart this morning.

I saw two 500 round bricks of remington thunderbolts that had $75 price tags on them today at one of the local gun shops=The look I gave the owner made him as ashamed as he should have been!
How many you looking for? I may be able to part with a few @ a reasonable price but the shipping is a pain.

Hey,

We might be interested in buying some. Depends on the price and shipping. We appreciate your offer.

As for the amount... as many as possible! I guess it just comes down to how many you want to sell.

To quote my local Wally World.

First one store fired the Sporting Goods manager for calling a guy when they put it out.

The other store told me "I get my delivery Friday Night, I put it out late". So a friend went at 8pm no ammo went back at 10pm it was gone. A week later he went and waited a milled around "shopping" when he inquired about .22 and 9mm the employee got pale white and then gave him the 9mm he wanted (only buys rem golden in .22) they didn't have any and lo and behold 1 man and 5 buddies bought everything else... Not 5 minutes after it was opened.

I recommend talking very friendly to your large shoe box sporting goods stores about when it shows up... or just wait a few more weeks. I bought 3 boxes of 5.56 for 8.99 each in new Israel federal they had 8 more boxes behind it. but I was buying for a friend so upheld the 3 box limit. Anyway 3-4 wks ago the same store only had 4 boxes of 30-06 and 1 box of 300wsm this week their shelves were full almost..
