Curious if anyone has loads or experience with reloder 33 in 338 lapua. accuracy or velocities. thx

so Alliant says 97.5 gr of RL33 with a 300 sierra match king. I think that sounds very high...... But has anyone else used this powder in he 338 Lapua???
was going to load last night and honey dos got me side tracked...

I've got a few rounds with rl33 down the pipe in both my 7stw and my 300 rum. It is right between rl25 and rl50 in both of those rounds. It seems to be a pretty good powder for pushing heavy bullets and I've already picked up a third pound of it.

Where can you purchase reloaders 33? I've never seen it on there website except for the reload data. Is it being distributed? I never ran across it in any stores or gun shops. Living in Utah were powder has become almost impossible to find. Thanks for any info.

I'm getting it from my local gun shop.... it looks like the online joints are out at present....

Powder Valley here to. Ordered 10 lbs Rl-25 and one lb of Rl-33. Just got my stuff. haven't tried the 33 yet.

It looks like the online joints are getting some, but not enough.. A quick check last night and everyone was out that I'd use....

I'm using rl33 with the 225 hdy hpbt in my 300 rum. I started at 90gr and went to 95 gr in rem brass with a 215 under it.
If you query rl33 there is another guy using a bit stiffer charges (2 or 3 gr) here with a berger, but I would take it easy to start with. This powder is about even steven between the rl25/retumbo class powders and the 50bmg stuff, so don't go to bmg charges right away.

Ok. Allianz says 92 or some odd grains but I think I'll choose rl25 loads and work up

How long of a wait at powder valley? They told me 30 days yesterday. I ordered 8 lbs. of Superformance and 500 123 A-Max in 6.5mm. Hope they over estimated time of delivery. Thanks in advance. >>>>> SEMPER FI!

I just got a new 300rum and was looking at retumbo for some 210 bergers. Does anyone have some load data and volicity info on the Reloaders 33 with these bullets. I was hopeing for 3100 or 3050 out of the 210's. On another post I see that the 215 have a shorter bearing surface and will push this fast and faster. I dont know if retumbo or some other slower powder would do the trick. Currentlly still breaking the barrel in. Only about 12 rounds down the pipe and these were some left over 178 amax's loaded at low charges that i was usling in my 06. Any info would be great. Thanks..
