Best powder for 22-250 and 53 Vmax?

If you can get it I would say CFE223, I haven't seen it in Havre yet so I'm using Biggame with very good results.

Joe, I thought I read in another thread you were shooting the 53 VMax's in a 14 twist barrel. If true, are they stabilizing OK?

Used to shoot the 55g V-Maxs in a 1-14 twist without problem.

yea I'm getting 1inch groups at 300yrds. I'm still surprised they stabilize but I'm not about to argue with it either.

As far as powder selection, I went XMR8208. it is also a great powder for the 308, or anything with a medium size case that burns relatively fast burning powder. It burns clean, and I've gotten the best SD, ES so far with it. Try it , you'll like it!

I have a nice load using cfe223. 38.5grs, f210m, rem brass, will produce .115-.250 groups at 100 yards off of a Caldwell front rest and that rear bag.

Any starting weights for Varget and the 53's?
