Hey guys, new to the forum here, and mostly new to the .338 lapua round, I was curious on some of the most effective powders for a 250grain berger, I have a savage 110fcp hs presision, with a 26" barrel, with a 1in9" twist, I just picked up some H-1000 and some RE25! I have heard a lot of good about IMR4350! And retumbo, unfortunately I cant find any for sale, also curious what primers ya'll are using! Thanks!

I use a Nightforce 5.5-22x56 with the MOAR reticle. I've yet to shoot past 1K. I've heard the thickness of the MOAR vs the NPR-1 can be an issue at longer ranges, but at 1K it is not a hinderance (to me).

I use a Nightfore 5.5-22x56 with the UHV reticle. The reason - I have all the adjustment but can shoot out to 800 yards without adjusting anything. The reticle also extends the range well past a mile at full adjustment.

Ill eventually own a NF for now im gonna use a 6.5-20x50 vortex, its only got 65 moa of adjustment, but I have a 20 minute base, that being said I only need 60 some moa of adjustment for a mile, I could hold off a little!

I only know a few people that even shoot past 800, you're setup will be fine!

My gun is over engineered, 20+ lbs with a 31" rock creek 5r 1.25" od bbl , my MV runs high RL25 for 250 gr smk and H1000 for 300 gr, both loads are over 2800 fps,Mike Rock hooked me up with the barrel 1 in 10 and Tim Roach did the install at GAP, not knocking any one but at the time it was the best price and quickest turn around
