vortex viper on 700 308 tactical.... the directions confuse me...How do i zero it click it with out pulling up on it? then to adjust for long shot or wind i pull up on it then move it? then how do i return it to zero? if any of this is right...

It eliminated the set screws a lot of scopes use, no tools needed to set the zero marks on the turrets. You have to go shoot the rifle to set your zero. Adjusting the scope is like any other...dial your correction, dial back to your zero.
yea its been a while but I got the vortex viper mounted...and it is nice and clear...only complaint is the eye relief....seems i have to get closer than id like and with a gun with more kick might be giving you scope eye...but no problems so far and for the price a great value

what about the zero stop.
I have it figured out now...when you pull up on the turret and rotate it dosent adjust the scope... so once you get it zeroed in with the clicking...you pull out on the turrets (no clicks) and set it to zero.... so when you do make wind age or elevation adjustment you know to come back to zero for what ever you originally had it zeroed at .... I guess this is what you were asking
