RRA LAR 8 and Midwest industry rail?

I have a RRA LAR 8 and I am putting on a Midwest industry rail and am having a problem with the rail fitting correctly. it seems the top rail is a little too long and does not allow the rail to seat properly. any suggestions?

I was thinking the same thing. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Midwest industries replied to my email and said the gun had changed and they are pulling it off the sight until they figure it out. so looks like I get to cut it off.
