Savage BVSS in .308 single shot with an excellent trigger job and Nikon 6.5-20 Monarch UCC mildot scope. This is an accurate rifle with a great trigger and a very good optic at an excellent price point.

$1100

26 inch savage factory barrel, I have put about 300 rounds through it, but I don't know how much the guy before me shot it. Barrel is still accurate. I've had the rifle since spring 2005.

theborg - rifle arrived.

Description is close, but not quite. PM sent - we need to discuss.

Just a heads up for everybody.

theborg, Dan Black, did not advertised the rifle correctly. As it turns out, even though (see above), he has personally put 300 rounds through this rifle, it is, in fact, a repeater action......NOT a single shot rifle, as advertised. I saved the follower that has been ground on, the piece of 3/4" plywood, and the piece of scrap metal that was holding the follower up.

He did offer to pay for return shipping and my FFL fees, but did not agree to pay for the rifle first (as I did). I advised to just send a new follower/spring combo...and call it a day. I was taking the high road on this one.

He has quit responding to emails and I have yet to receive (or expect to now) a follower and spring.

As you can see, 20 days have transpired since receiving and notifying the seller....believe I have been patient enough.

theborg - sorry to out you like this........but this is not how to handle a problem.

I'd say return it to the FFL that it came from & get your money back!!!

Or put the items in it & be happy with it!!!!

He may not have known about it, just giving him a benefit of the doubt!!

Also, he may not live on this website like most of us do!!!!!

I do think a direct email or phone call would be the best way to figure it all out!!

Good luck & I hope it works out for both of you!!!!!

Todd - we have exchanged emails (AND PM's) and then he quit responding. Chalking this one up to experience.

Man, that sucks!!! Most of these specialty forums are full of decent and honest guys!!!

At least it was something small & not a shot up, worn out piece of junk!!!

Hopefully he'll realize it's better to error on the side of good, instead of bad on the forum!!!

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. From my personal experience on this site, I have bought and sold a total of 31 different items. All were professional handled, to the last detail. Not only have I had some great buying and selling experiences, but I have met a lot of great people. I hope this forum kicks the bad apples out quickly as I have and continue to enjoy looking, buying and selling here. If I had the parts you needed, they would be on the way to you right now. If the guy every does "man up" and make it right, please let us know.

Peace

Roger

Roger - agree with your experience as well.

Have completed multiple deals on this forum and others as well.

If theborg comes through, I will update this thread.
