Scope cantl question

I the case where I shoot in order to establish if my scope has any cant, I believe I know the answer, but wanted to confirm. I set up a plummed target at 100 yards. In set up, my bolt rails and scope turret tops were leveled perfectly. I shoot a 100 yard group at zero then shoot a group with 20 MOA of elevation. The results show I have 2 degrees of cant with my 20 MOA group. Rather then turn my scope to correct this, I adjust the bubble on my Flatline scope level to bring my group to perfect plum. Is this acceptable? Thanks for any feedback.

Seems like you would still throw them off horizontally as you move out in yardage and adjust for the increased distance, because your scope would not be tracking plum but at 2deg cant. Can't the rifle to plum the scope you go one direction, plum the rifle scope is canted and shots would go the other direction.

I was thinking that the key is that the crosshair Is aligned with center of the bore. Unless it is, what you state would be correct. I ran into a shooter at the range that was adjusting can't with his scope level and it got me wondering about this. thanks Joe.

I agree with Joe. If you adjust your level and leave the scope with 2deg of cant you will be on at 100 but the further out you go you will still not be correct.
