Hey Guys, if you were going to buy a Sendero what kind of work would you do to it to "trick it out" per say? Im thinking maybe a Jewell trigger and a brake for sure. Was thinking of a 300WM. Would you do anything to the stock? Thanks for your help.

So i should "Glass" bed the stock? Is the stock pillar bedded from the factory? Is the Wyatts mag box a direct replacement or does it have to be fitted?

It's a full aluminum bed, and bedding can wait until you know if it shoots or not. Fitting is required for Wyatt's box.
Get a 300 rum and get it braked. The box is an option, but standard will go to 3.685" and the origin is at 3.8", so your free-bore is already minimal for the round. My brother's 300 rum sendero II is impressive even with a tuned stock trigger, but an aftermarket trigger may help if you don't like stock.
My lh bdl in 300 rum stays with the sendero, but she'll beat ya if you don't eat your wheaties; no brake, hard rubber pad, 9# weight instead of 10#+. The sendero is like a 25-06 recoil wise.

Is know the 300RUM is a beast of a cartridge. Was thinking it may beat me to death even with a brake. So tha mag box isnt that big of a deal? The stock box should accomodate the longer round with no issues?

Thanks for your help.

The stock box will go to at least 3.65". That's what my 300 rum's are loaded to with the 225 hornady and rl50. I think I got the 3.685" from my lh 7stw m700's box. It doesn't need a 300 dollar upgrade unless you are actually too short to feed from the mag with the developed load. I'd rather put 300 dollars into ammo than a .2-.3" increase in mag length. My 300 rum is bone stock with wood, standard trigger, 6-18x nikon and it'll do 1/2" -3/4" consistantly at 9# with a hard rubber pad and no brake. If you are at 10# and have a brake, it'll be almost a girl's gun.:D
