Hello folks!

I have test some loads the other day, and was impressed with the results... Too many impressed to be true!

I'm getting about 3550 fps from a 222rem, with a 53 grain barnes XLC (blue coated). It was a compressed load of vectan SP7 fired from a CZ 527 lux, with 23,5" sporter barrel.

Then, i get 3050 fps from a 243 with 105 amax. It was fired from a M98 sporter rifle, with 24" barrel and vectan tubal 7000 powder.

None of them has pressure signs.

The day was hot, with bright sun, but i set the chrono with the light diffusers and put it just a little bit close to me, to get under the range shadow. The speeds seem too high for me (it would be great if they are true!).

Have you ever experienced wrong results with an ammomaster? I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks!!

There are 2 things that I notice that really effects accuracy of that chronograph. Make sure battery is fresh. I use the battery a few times and then toss it/or use it somewheres else in the house. Next is make sure your shooting a few inches off the tops of the eyes like the directions state. Of those 2 issues, I have noticed when the battery gets a little weak, so goes the accuracy of that chronograph. Hope that helps and let me know if that helps..

I think you know why:

Thanks for the input! I will try with a fresh battery. Maybe it's a good idea to get a rechsrgable one...

I try to shoot 10 cm over the eyes... That's about 4"... You think iy's ok?

Hello Fubar...

Make sure that i will not do that way if i know that it's the wrong way...

What's wrong with that? Put it in the shadow? Put in the diffusers?

Lighting can be an issue and muzzle blast can fool the sensors.

That's what i think... So i put in the difussers (allways put them in) and get the chrono just one or two feets closer than usually, to get under the shadow of the range roof.

Or maybe i'm wrong and the speeds are normal... But i don't think so...

Someone has bad experiences with that chrono? Any review?

Thanks!!
