Redding Competition Shell Holders ?????

Okay try not to laugh too much . I need some one to break it down for me into redneck/hillbilly terminology . The very best my rifle ever shot was with once fired brass that I had bumped the sholder back 2 thousandths. My question is this . Now I use the redding type S full length sizing die , can I just leave the die set like it already is and install the .002 redding shell holder and run it up into the die ? Will that give me only .002 sholder bump and have me ready to load ?

No. Those shell holders are thicker, not thinner so your shoulders would tend to move forward by two thou.

The reqired amount to move a die (or shell holder) for any given shoulder change isn't all that simple anyway - it's not hard or complicated but it's not that simple either

It is set up to full length size .

How are you measuring shoulder bump? There are several products to do this; I use a Redding Instant Indicator for each caliber.

Keep your present die set to full length size. Get a set of Skip Otto's die shims from Sinclair. With the right shim you can bump shoulders where you want without re-adjusting the die.
