Hi all -

Out of the gate, i *did* a search on this subject and rec'd many hits. However, most were older and phones have changed quite a bit recently.....

I'll be moving to CO soon and getting a SmartPhone w/ requisite data package for work.

I *will not* be using iPhone platform since the work-related Apps are all on the Android platform.

So, which is the "best" Android Smart Phone/Ballistic Application (price within reason please!).

I'll probably be gettting a Kestrel 3500 weather monitor and have a GPS, but it's nice to have some redundancy in electronic devices.....

Thanks!!!!

frank

PS - If this is not the correct place for this post sorry - i couldn't think of a more appropriate Forum.....

I got the STRELOK ballistic app on my phone , seems to be pretty good and also its a free app. I like FREE....

Great advice guys!

OK, so there are 2 great Apps to choose from - nice to have good alternative choices.

Which Android phone is "best" to use the Apps with?

THanks again!

I use and love Ballistic: FTE, but I think it's only available for the Apple platform. It also costs $20.

If I were going to start with a new application, I'd likely give the Applied Ballistics app a try.

My phone is two years old but I like it. It is a Motorola Droid X. I like it for the big screen. Not sure if they have replaced it or stll make it today.

Shooter is lik 10 or 20 bucks and Bryan's AB is like 29 or 39 bucks I don't remember for sure. Both are dirt cheap compared to the $150 I paid in the past for one. Using them both now I see Bryans AB as an upgraded version of Shooter. Just started using AB but so far it has given me very good first round solutions.

This is great info!!! THanks so much.

So, for $30-$40 i can have an excellent ballistic program (App) on an Android platform phone and shouldn't have a bit of trouble. That's great news - i was thinking these things would be around $99 or so....

I can hardly wait to get things going out there!!!
