I own several Burris scopes and the Warranty/Customer Service has been outstanding but I am thinking about stepping it up a notch and wondered how Huskemaw takes care of business?

Warranty and Repair

Even though Huskemaw Optics is a small company that strives for excellence in its products, occasionally, something slips through the production process. We fully warranty your scope to be free from defects in materials and workmanship - forever. Please call us and let us know if you experience any problems or if you require technical assistance (we like to hear about great shots too!). Once you have return authorization, enclose a brief description of problem and the warranty card with your contact information, and send the scope to: Huskemaw Optics, LLC 1308 Sheridan Ave Cody, WY 82414 866.754.7618

Conditions of Warranty:

With the purchase of this Huskemaw 5-20 LR Scope you have received a product which has been manufactured to special quality standards and checked at various stages of production by experienced specialists. For this product the Huskemaw 5-20 LR Scope provides a life time warranty. The warranty is subject to the following conditions: 1) During warranty we will repair or replace unit at our discretion. 2) Claims under warranty are null and void if the defect has been cause of improper handling or if the serial number has been obliterated. 3) Warranty Card must be sent to Huskemaw Optics following the purchase of the Huskemaw Optics Scope. Huskemaw Optics; 1308 Sheridan Ave; Cody, WY 82414. 4) When submitting claims under warranty please return the Huskemaw Scope with a description of the claim to the Customer Service department of Huskemaw Optics. Serial Number: Date of Purchase:

This is the stated warranty. I have owned three of the 5x20 scopes, one standard and two Blue Diamonds. All performed flawlessly and did not require any service. I did take a severe fall with my rifle which hit the bell so hard that the scope mount bases were pulled from the receiver of my rifle. I automatically assumed the scope was damaged before checking it and called the company. They responded immediately, willing to not only take care of my scope, but try to get another to me so my hunt was not disrupted. Turned out that I never had to pursue this because when I replaced the mounts, the scope, which I thoroughly tested, was uneffected by the fall. Other interactions involving turret production, turnaround, assistance, etc. Is probably as good, likely better than I have experienced when compared to other manufacturers I have worked with. They do business the old fashioned way. Personalized, experts, and knowledgeable about not only the scope, but the whole shooting system. This has
been my personal experience.

Greyfox, that is quite the fall! I gotta hear more about that.

I also have been thinking about adding a huskemaw to my arsenal basically because they have come out with the smaller 3 x 12 which fits my needs. I have talked to them on the phone and it was a very pleasant experience. AND if you don't know, they give law enforcement and retired law enforcement (which I am) a very substantial discount. It might also apply to other occupations as well but I can't remember. I don't think you could go wrong.

The all was the hardest hit one of my rifles have taken in 45 years of hunting. I was walking to my stand pre dawn and made the mistake of not using a flashlight. I tripped and my slung rifle took a full swing hit on the side of the objetive pulling and stripping the Tally front base screws out of the reciever and bending the rear. When I replaced the mounts the scope only needed less than MOA of windage and elevation to get my original setting and the scope tested fine. What a surprize!!

I believe you'll find all the major players (and the wannabee's) all offer lifetime replacement warranties irregardless of ownership, in other words, you sell the optic and the warranty transfers, no matter how many owners....

It's just good business ethic to stand behind yout product, unconditionally, forever, or until you aren't in business any longer................:D

I literally blew a turret knob (windage) off my VX3 benchrest AO scope and Leupold had no issue sending me a replacement even though it was entirely my fault. They even paid the express charges.

My only issue with a 'lifetime' replacement warranty is what is lifetime? Companies come and compainies go, everyday. Of all the manufacturers/importers when I think of longevity, I think of Leupold and Stevens, Schmidt and Bender, Nikon and Zeiss.

The most incredible warranty experience I ever had was with Browning. About 20 years ago a Pidgeon Grade Superposed I bought developed a 1/2" chip at the wrist/receiver junction. The shotgun was built 20 years or so before that and I was not the original owner. I called them about a repair and they said just send it in we will get back to you. Didn't hear a thing for a month until the gun arrived back at my house with a totally replaced forearm and butt with a high grade stock that would melt your heart. All the metalwork was freshened as well and the the gun mechanically cleaned and checked. No charge, not even shipping! Turned out that the year my shotgun was produced, a bad batch of walnut that had high salt content slipped into the supply and they had a policy to replace them. That was 40 years after the problem, and new ownership!

I bought the lr 1000 package and got the huskemaw,it works well and the rifle shoots great. At high elevation or in freezeing temps the scope is not as clear as others i have.I have no other troubles with the scope,i shot an elk at 846 yds last week so the whole package works.I just dont have faith in the optics clarity,so i am going to send it to gunworks and have it replaced with the nightforce. For the 3 years i shot the gun it always worked as desiged and the scope tracked flawlessly but the clarity issue has me on the edge, the scope has worked without failure for at least 500 rounds and that says it is a good product so far.I will keep the scope and use it on a smaller caliber and hopefully it will not fail.If i have troubles i will try out the warranty, but i did not get any paper work for warranty so i will call and try to get it.I think it was over priced but it does work like they said. I would like to hear from someone that has dealt with the warrnty on these.

I would have it checked out. The three I have are a good as my NF's under those conditions.

I am at the end of my new build on a 7 ulta mag, when it is done the scope is going for warrnaty, problem is best of the west and gunwerks split the sheets.I am going to have it replaced with the new nightforce model. It works well just gets like ahaze in it when cold or damp.I will use it till my new stick is done next week.WE are going to hunt elk in the am and im sure it will do the job.It has served me well and never let me down.

I have 3 Huskemaws and 1 G7 Nightforce. I cant tell any difference in the clarity of the 4. As far as warranty goes of all the Leopulds Zeiss and Huskemaws I have owned Leopulds are the only ones I have had to send in for repairs. I like using the scopes that no one knows if they stand behind their warranty because no one has to send them in.:D
