Looking at buying a chronograph to help with accuracy. I have never used one and nobody in the area has one. Was wondering which are the best. I reload all my ammo so hoping to improve on them.

I don't know what's best but for $100 I got the Shooting Chrony F1 and use it for archery and rifle. My fps numbers line up with what others are getting online with identical barrel lengths so I believe it is accurate.

probably the two best are the Ohler and the Pact. Readings are very similar between the two, but of course the Ohler has the third screen to verify the shot. I use an old Pact PC2 that I've had for around 15 years now (maybe longer). I can count the bad shots on my fingers after 15 years (maybe six or eight). The CEDM looks good as well, but I'm kind of a made in the USA person.

$575 + $20 shipping. A pure bargin to gain .0025% in accuracey (if even that can be proven). The Pact is the huge sum of $219 plus shipping (the deluxe one). I've used both, and both a good units. Still not worth $350 difference. Had the Ohler been sold for $300, it would be a good buy. Fifteen years ago they were nearly $400, where as the PC2 was $279 delivered with the light bar added to the package.

I have used a Pact2 for 12+ years and would recommend it. Unless you want to spend the money on a Oehler at least spend the money on the Pact. I have seen some of the cheaper chronys, used by fellow shooters at the local range, give some wild readings.

Haven't had such good results from Shooting Chrony, but my experiences with the ProChrono Digital have been nothing short of amazing, especially for the price.

I'll take the Shooting Chrony. They may be better chronographs...but I use mine Infrequently so they are a best buy value. If I were in the "business" I might buy a different one that had more features..??..and better components...but for the $$ its tough to beat one of the Chrony models
