LMT, LWRC, or POF?

H&K makes the best piston followed by LMT. I would not even give consideration to the other two of them. To many issues with guns being returned to the builders because they dont work right. Also the price is way over the top for what you get.
LMT and H&K are both gov contractors
I own the LMT with piston and DI barrels. The only reason you need a piston and need is an overstatment is if your going to run your rifle supressed.
My suggestion would be (and I base this on my personal experience) Is to get a quality MIL SPEC weapon from a good company like LMT,BCM,Noveske,colt,Daniel Defence or Knights these weapons are all of proven reliabilty and do not even come close to compairing to hobby guns made by busmaster,DPMS,stag,CMMG, insert name here etc.

I picked up a Daniel Defense M4V7 and it's great!!!! I could not have asked for better accuracy and so far the rifle has functioned without any malfunctions. I did replace the trigger with a RRA and added a Surefire MB. The rifle is a smooth shooter. I have a Aim point T-1 on the rifle.
Out of the three, for me it is an easy choice LMT. The LWRC's are ok some great others not so.
I like the LMT 16" with the custom rifle lenght rail. Being tall I like to get way out on it with my front hand. I run it hard often with several types of ammo frangible and others and it eats anything I've run through it. You cant go wrong with LMT. Mine is DI

Sig is CRAP! and stay away from the ACR as well. Out of your choices the LMT is the winner but be warned if you get the piston it adds a lot of weight to the front end
yea i have shot several of the piston type and didnt really like the way they were balanced on the front end. i wasnt sure if it was from thepiston stuff or the barrel. the barrels look pretty thick on them. with the way the gun was balanced i would have much rather just been shooting my m1a

A lot of the current barrels are of a larger profile. With the military upgrading the M4 to SOCOM specs you will see a large number of the carbines with thicker barrels. The LMT barrels are thicker than a standard M4 profile but there is also a very, very noticable diffrence in the piston barrel. I like the heavy barrel but my wife is just the oposit and we built hers with a pencil barrel.
In hind sight I would get the 14.5 pinned for my MRP to save weight. But I think I am going to get another barrel in the SS version.
You can always buld your rifle from the parts you want, all of my rifles are built that way.

its not balanced at all! A lot of guys are sending there barrels to marvin pitts at adco so he can dimple them to loose the weight. I just traded away my piston barrel thats the bueaty of the MRP you can just swap it back in under a minute if you dont like the barrel.
