Anyone reload this bullet and has a good load to share? I want to use it in my savage 110ba 300 win mag and bought some HM4350 powder to push it. The gun is a 10" twist so it should stabalize ok but rather than just random experimentation with the powders if someone has a good load for it I would like to try it first.
 
I use it in my Rem 700, but with H4831! Excellent bullet, have been using it for a couple of years!
Best way to find a load is just to do your own load work up!

There is a really good article on here done by Jerry Teo, about that subject!

A good starting point for that combo is to seat the bullet either .010" in or off the lands and start with 64grns of H4350 and a Fed210M primer, then work your way up in half grain increments, depending on the kind of brass, max charge should be found before you get to 68 grains. As was mentioned H4831 will net a good bit more velocity but usually has a larger extreme spread.
 
I load the 208 in a 300 win mag using RE-22. At the book max, no pressure signs, I am getting 2940 and great accuracy out to 750 yards.

A good load for the 208 A-Max in 300 Win Mag is using H-1000. Start at 73 grains and work your way up. I'm running 75 grains of H-1000 with ZERO pressure signs. I know some are running several grains hotter than that. H-1000 is a very stable and temperature insensitive powder and it is to the 300 win mag what Varget is to the .308 Winchester.
 
How is this combo working? I bought some RL-22 and was hoping you had some good results?

So far I have only taken my loads to the range once and it was gusting 15+ mph winds which hit me at @10:30 and buffeted the rifle some so I do not have a good handle on how well they did yet. They were all in about a 1" group at 200 yds. but I am sure it will shrink down when my gun isn't shaking from the wind.

I can tell you that at 71 grains of powder that to seat the bullet at 3.340 in COL you will push down on the powder in case. There are no issues as far as pressure marks on the case though when fired.
 
i shoot 208 a max in my savage 110fp tac 71gr h1000 just tuching the lands for single feed acuracy and get 2880 fps out of a 26in barrel i use power pro 4000mr with 72gr for hunting bullets that need to be seated deeper to fit the mag they go right at 3000fps and still group 3in at 450yds slower bullets seated out shoot about the same 2-3in at 450 but they do shoot a little beter at 100 and 200 but i was trying for a hard hitting bullet for out to 600 and pushed it right to max with good acuracy
 
that 110fp is a 300 mag and i shoot 2 deer with the 208 a max last year. The first was at 377 yds went for a rib shot becouse i have herd mixed revews on the amax and was not shure what to expect . i could hier the bullet hit and it went right to the ground lots of tissue damige broke 3 ribs center one was gone totily turned the insids to soup and the force of inpact broke the spine 2nd at 265 just cliped the back and spine bullet still broke the spine and fragmints went down into the lungs and liver the come apart like a hand gernade but will still open up at low vol inpacts from long ranges . I will continue to use them for hunting and target

This is some load info I have using that bullet. I'm getting good groups at 67gr. I'm using IMR not HM. Load with care.
