Mr. Bonner is correct...Go to Hodgens site for loads.

I use 50-55 gr Hornady Vmax's
Varget powder
34.5 to 36.0 grains of Varget
Rem and Lapua casings and CCI primers

I have the Rem VLS model in 22-250

The 'best' help I can give you is to start with a good loading manual, pick a bullet you think you want to try and develop your own charge. I could give you my preferred loads but if you used them you would only be reloading for my rifle and it's not yours.

Use any 40-55grn bullets with the exception of the 53grn v-max it won't stabilze in your 14 twist, unless your rifle is magic. The new nosler varmmagedon 40 and 55grn tipped flat base bullets work great, flat base bullets driven hard enough will likely be more accurate out to about 450. Imr 3031, 4064, and 4895 are good powders as well as Varget, H4895, H335, RE10x and RE15. CCI BR2 or Fed210M primers work great, and federal or lapua brass.

Out of all the powders listed in my post from my experience Varget is the cleanest, but H4895 and 4064 aren't bad either. H335 is the dirtiest. RE10, 3031, and H335 are better suited to 40-45grn bullets, Varget and 4064 seem to work best under 55grn pills. I have driven 40grn noslers to 4389 fps with Imr 8208xbr, but case life is almost non exsistent (2 loads).

No problem buddy. Try 36.5grns under a 55grn varmaggedon in Lapua brass with an oal at 2.410".

I have exactly the same gun and am also interested in reloading for it/new to reloading. It would be fun to exchange experiments. I do know thus far that a very accurate factory round for this gun is the 50 grain Hornady Superformance (think it only comes in 50 grain). Best group with this was 3/4" at 125 yards shooting prone. With 55 grain sierra matchking bullets, I couldn't keep inside 2" at 100 yards. It's possible that this grain won't stabilize. I think it is more accurate to reload 50 grain and under bullets with this rifle. Gonna experiment with Hogdon CFE 223, and IMR 4007 SSC. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have a 14 twist Rem 700 heavy barrel rifle that simply refuses to shoot boat tail style bullets accurately.

It will thread needle with Berger 52gr flat based and 36 gr Varget.

I've had 3 different 22-250's a Rem 700, Ruger #1 (still have) and a WW model 70 and the load that shot very well in all of them was 55 Bal-Tip, WW Lrg Rfl primers, 36.5 of IMR-4064. This load worked in any brass, Rem, WW, Fed. it ran right at 3600fps.

Varget is in this burn rate area and I would think you could work a load with it very close to this spec.

IMR-4895 worked very well too just one grain less.

The other bullet that worked very well is the Nolser 52gr Match. I forget the powder I used from memory though.

I just got in 8# of CFE223.As soon as I get to test some loads in my 22-250.I.ll post results. No or little copper fouling in a hot .22 load should help in a dog town!

I have used 4895' 3031,Varget and the best of the bunch seems to be the Varget. However, I tried 8208 XBR, and have not looked back. I still use Varget, but the 8208 really sends them. I use Berger 55 FB match, or varmint match. Any of the above will get you going but you do need to pick a bullet, and get as many loading manuals as you can. They are priceless.
