Anyone with a Minox BV 10x42br binoculars and a Monox 50w spotting scope?

They were both recomended to me as good value for the cost. I was wondering if anyone has tried them out and if they were happy with them. My plans are to use the spotting scope out west, since it seems backpackable.

I had a set of vortex razors that got stolen out of my truck. I needed replacement set and money was a bit tighter this time so i bought a set of minox 10x42s. In my opinion the optics arent near what the razors had and are closer to my nikon monarch atbs. Not bad but not great.

Sorry to hear about your razors. Are you happy with the minox. Do you see yourself glassing with them all day.

I am very pleased with mine and used it last hunting season. It performed beyond my expectation in Montana's adverse weather conditions. My hunting buddy has the Nikon Monarch ATB and purchased the Minox as a back up but now prefers it over the ATB.

they may be a bit better then an atb but should be a twice the cost. What i do like about them compared to the razors is that they wieght about half what the razors weighted. Razors were much better opticaly though. When i bought the minox i couldnt afford another 1000 dollar set of binoculars. What did i find out? Like about anything with glass your better off going without another year and buying better. I allready had a set of atb i could have used for that year. Oh well the minox are far from junk and are still a better pair of glass then most hunters use and ill get by with them.

... but still better than the ATB according to my hunting buddy and his a darn picky guy.


It's not as compact as the Minox 50 but I went with Vortex Impact Angled 70mm 25-75X

the price on them is resonable. My buddies keep saying they are to big but i have a harness that i use so i dont see an issue
