WOW, copper fouling after only 3 shots! Those are supposed to be pretty good bore/ gun cleaners. I have pretty good success with these ...

+1 for wipeout or gunslick.......I also have used wipe out and gunslick and they work equally well but gunslick is cheeper.

Been there and got the T shirt.
My new Rem 7STW fouls so bad I gave up and sent it back. One shot and it takes 30 strokes with bore paste and an hour with chemicals to clean out the copper and that was after 70 shots trying to break the darn thing in. One shot/clean, 3 shots/clean, 10 shots/clean, nothing helped. BMG50, Xtreme Copper Killer, Copper paste, that stuff didn't do anything but polish the copper.

The service guy told me the barrel was garbage and to send it in.

This could very well be the case and it never hurt to call their customer service. I know that they're having some quality control issues (I mean not the same quality level that most of us are accustomed to in the past).

On another site, a member was sighting in his Remington 700 XCR in .270 Win using factory load 150gr Corelokts, when he chambered the 3rd round, the bolt handle came off the bolt. From the pictures shared, it was very poor silver soldering job.

Sounds like a prety rough bore to me. I have seen the Tubbs final finish bullets help this. Or using some basics to brake it in and smooth it up. Remember that higher velocity like with lighter bullets and also solid copper bullets will aggravate the problem. Also if you have had any solids in the bore you will probably have some very stubborn copper to get out. That last bit of copper fouling is the most important to remove as it is the rough spot under it you need to clean and smooth up. This is why I recommend Boretech eliminator.

all I've shoot in it was the noalers . but the groups where about 2 1/2in at 100. I cleaned after a 3 shoot group and was amazed how the bore looked .i've went from 73.5 gr of 22 to 75.8, holding the bullet 10 -20 off the grooves . maybe I need to try the tubb bullets

You could look in the muzzle of mine after one shot and it looked like an old penny. Almost 50% coverage. In the grooves, on the lands, everywhere. 50 patches, a bunch of copper killer, copper paste, and an hour later it looked exactly the same, except with a new penny shine.
I figured I had better things to do than try to polish a turd and back it went.

Solution=Savage........ some say they are ugly......I don't know.......they shoot pretty. Sorry, cheep shot when your down, I couldn't help it. I have heard remington has bean having allot of trouble with there barrels lately, but three rounds is absurd.

well I got upset with all the cleaning after three shots and started to pay attention to youall, and switched bullets, went to Speer and behold no copper, even after a dozen shots, and got just as good of groups. goodbuy Nosler hello Speer. Thanks to youall
