300 win mag load w/208 amax

Anybody got a recipe for their 300 win mag with the 208 amax's?

start at 74gn's and work up too 76 or so.for me 76gn's works great out of my 5R 300wm.and I am just touching the lands with the bullet.but I only shoot one at a time so useing the mag is no biggy for me.

I'm working on up too. I have mine load to just kiss the lands. using h1000 started at 75, 75.5, 75.7, 76, 76.1, 76.5, 76.7, 76.9, 77. well see 77 might be a little hot be even at that I still have only about 90 percent of the case full.

I ended up settling on 78gr of H1000 for now

I moved up to 81 gr and just started to see extractor marks. 80 Gr seems to give great accuracy.

79 GR of H1000 yields 2956 FPS out of a 28" Barrel at 28 degrees. I just tested the heavier loads to see where the pressure roof was at 60 degrees. Next weekend should the weather be nice I will do an OCW load work up. I'm hoping to be able to get to a compressed load. well see.
