.300WM long range bullet

Hello guys, please help me choose a bullet for my .300WM blaser match barrel 11 twist rate... I will use this for hunting up to 1000 yards... I was thinking on berger hunting vld 210gr... The only problem is that here in EU I can not find them, I hope that sinclair international will send them to eu...

Any suggestions?

The 210 VLD will serve you well and is as heavy as that 11 twist will send. That would be as good as you could get for a producion bullet to 1000 yards.

You should be able to get 2850 from a 26" with H-1000 or pretty close to it with the 210

You could also use the new Berger 215, and the Hornady A-max 208. They both have a higher ballistic coefficient than the 210 Berger.

Yes, but are this bullets good for big game hunting? On the horned a-max website is written, that this bullet is not suggested for hunting...

And according to my ballistic calculator there is only 0,5 moa difference at 1000y between hornady a max 208gr and berger vld 210gr...

The differences aren't substantial, but I look at it as taking advantage of every bit of ballistic coefficient I can gain. Wind can be a real problem. The 208 is an excellent long range bullet. It will open easier than some of the other bullets available. Here is a comment made you can find in the scrap book selection on the 208 info page:

Guys on here use them with good effect. I have killed 3 groundhogs in Pennsylvania using 208's in a 300WSM. 1 @ 605(headshot), 1@ 628 behind the shoulder, and 1@ 248 through the body. That one got back in the hole, but there were meat chunks and blood splatter on the fench post and grass behind it. They are pretty effective.
