Scope Choice? Suggestions wanted

I ordered a lr111 in 7mm and I'm looking for some glass for it! I'm swayed to 3 choices of course the Nite force is one but what about the loopy mk 4 vs. the Huskemaw? I know loopy has life time warranty but what about Huskemaw? Thanks for the input men!!lightbulb

I own all three, and they are all great scopes. Last three scopes I bought were Huskemaws. I have them on my Cooper and Savage LRH, both in 6.5x284. The other is going on a build Im working on. Having used them for a few years, i like the turret system, glass is at least equal or better, good size and weight, and the turret accuracy and repeatability is nuts on. Nice Reticle. At first I thought the 1/3 MOA graduations would be a hindrance, but I have not found that to be the case at all out to 1100 yards. No problem hitting softball sized rocks at 1000 yards and the benefit of a single revolution, with windage readings above the turret yardage is a nice feature.

I find it amusing how many people boob about the 1/3 MOA clicks and then go out and talk about their mil system like it's the best system ever invented.
I actually think the 1/3 MOA is a really good idea to get more MOA per turret revolution without sacrificing too much precision.

Now for my answer on the scopes. The Nightforce speaks for itself and is worth the price if you have the money. The Leupold MK4 is a great scope too, they are a full 10 ounces lighter than the NF and they pretty rock solid as far as durability goes. I love the TMR reticle. In the SFP, the TMR reticle works great as an MOA reticle at slightly less than max power if you desire the reticle to match the adjustments for ranging or holdover.

The only thing I wish the Mk 4 had was more positive click adjustments on the turrets. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat though, they are great scopes.

I look at it this way! If you find that you like your 111 and purchase a spendy scope there is a very good chance that you will regret not taking the price difference and purchasing another rifle with the money saved on a scope. So I could eliminate 2 of the mentioned brands for myself without even thinking about it.

Guys thanks for the input!!lightbulb I'm stuck out here in the North East hoping to get to where you are soon! I'm favoring the Huskemaw rite now for this application,I have several loopys and I love em,1 36x on a 25-06 heavy barrel Ruger #1 its deadly! A 20x on a 22-250,1.5-5 on a 280 browning auto! Can't beat 'em. If this works out then I'm stepping up to the top shelf gun/scope!
