The published COAL spec is only 3.33" for the 300 Dakota cartridge.
What do you want to limit the seating depth?
Where you find the lands of your rifle?
Where the boattail/shank junction of the bullet is at the shoulder/neck junction?
The inside length of your magazine?

Are you trying to use these bullets in an existing 300 Dakota rifle? You have to decide if they'll work.

Are you you building a new custom rifle around a 300 Dakota cartridge for these bullets? Then I'd seat the shank close but not past the neck/shoulder junction. The OAL would then not be less than:
base to neck + bullet OAL - boattail = COAL
For the 210 that's 2.240+1.459-0.190=3.504"
For the 230 that's 2.240+1.640-0.220=3.660 "
I'm not saying that's optimum but I wouldn't load them shorter.
You can achieve more case capacity by loading them longer.

Thank you I was looking for that 3.66 number. I would like to do a build that helps with action size and bottom metal options.
