what are your opinians on a HEAD SPACE gage
Everyone should at least own a go gauge for every rifle they own if they are loading for
them and especally if they are loading hot. (After many high pressure loads are fired
there can be some set back and the go gauge will alert you that this is happening because
head space will increase).

Explain setback to me. Do you mean bolt lug wear, gouging where the bolt lugs seat in the action?
Ah, I see. Thanks JE, I had not heard of this, but it makes sense.The recoil surfaces can actually deform (Hammered)and loose several thousandths in length
when the yeald strength of the bolt and reciever is exceeded.
