Is anyone here running the G7 Nightforce scope?
Interested in what the reticle looks like, and substensions of it. I assume it is not like the NP-R1
Also, if you like the low profile wind and parellax turrets which require holding a wind call, and not dialing wind.

I have one. Yes I like the low profile turretts. The reticle is on their website. It is similair to the NP-R1 reticle, but I do like it better than the NP-R1. As I see it the reticle is the only difference or advantage over Nightforces. G7 no longer puts the MOA windage on their turrents. Now they are putting some kind of code for windage that forces you to buy their G7 rangefinder on the turrent.

Thanks for the reply, team.
Is there really only one person on this site using the G7?

I have one. It is a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 in every respect. Up grades are the reticle and the low profile windage turret the reticle is also lighted. I really don't know much about the reticle or how it works yet as I am still trying to build a round for this rifle. Really like that the windage is low profile as most of my hunting does not require a correction and if I'm shooting at distance I should have enough time to either make the correction or use the reticle corrections. As far as it's reliability, quality and dependability like I said, it's a Nightforce, whats not to like. Brad

I am interested in more info on this as well. I haven't heard this before. Seems completely counterproductive to their whole shooting system. Are you sure this is correct?

Absolutly positivly no question about it. The last scope I bought came as I have stated. Let's just say after I called about this I think they may have taken me off of their Christmas card list. And yes the pictures on the website still show the old style widage marks. Very miss leading in my opinion.

It is not optional. And no they did not tell me beforehand. I was not made aware of it until I opened the box with the turrent in it. I called to ask what the heck was this. That is when I was informed of the fact that they will never again make a turrent with the windage as I expected.

I am not familiar enough with the rangefinder to know what kind of code they are going to put on there. If you can I would love to see a picture.

Do they come with an MOA turret? Are they now set up just to use the hold of in the reticle based on what the range finder spits out or their hand held program tells you?

Scot E I don't have a picture. Why don't you call them and ask them why the pictures on their website don't show what their turrents currently look like? I would sure like to know that myself. When I pointed this out to them their only reply was that they needed to update their website. That was months ago. And no the marks make no sense to me. Maybe they can explain it to you better.

Bigngreen they come with a MOA turret.

In case some guys don't know, Kenton Industries will make turrets to your specs and they do laser engrave NF scopes. It's not a perfect fix I know, because it sounds like you were expecting something that you didn't get, but at least you can get the turret the way you want it.

Just and FYI,

Scot E.
