I just picked this up yesterday. I couldn't help myself. Always liked the look and feel of the gun, and it was too good of a deal to pass up. Anyone have experience with this gun/caliber? I'd like to shoot bergers I believe and I have H4831sc and H4350 on hand, but I've never loader bergers before. Thanks guys.

I'm a Model-70 freak so I fall in love with them easily, but every single one of the Model-70 Coyotes I've ever shot was a tack driver, no matter what cartrige it was chambered in. Flat out awesome.
Talk about a ready made L/R rifle. With very little tweaking, those things shoot crazy good!

I have a Mod 70 with a 26" custom bbl is 7mm wsm. Mine loves Re#17,22 and some times re#25. Is yours a 24" bbl ? what is rate of rifling twist ?
Mine is a 9" twist. Heaviest bullet I shot was 168 gr Bergers. No problem but i prefer the Hornady 162gr A-max. I look on ballistic tables the difference between 162gr and 180 gr . Beings I can only reasonably push the 180 to about 3,000 FPS ( Out of a 26" bbl) the 162gr A-max that I can push to just shy of 3200 is flatter. But I'll tell you if your trying to do some long range shooting and its a windy day,( switch back winds and wind gust) pack it in no bullet is a match for those conditions. Just wasting bullets and bbl life. Amazing how much a 15mph wind will blow a bullet at 300+yds !
