Terrapin testing today.

Went out this morning hoping to see a coyote, deer or other targets to range.
Terraping was mounted on window mount and conditions were overcast. 3d turned allowing it show if it picked up more than one range flashes(up to 3).

Tumble weed in yellow grass.

Terrapin on window mount. Light clouds, sun at 6:00. Camera 5x zoom. Aiming circle purosely offset so you can see tumble weed. Had 3d turned on so that it would show if it picked up closer or further hits. 9 readings taken. *= further behind or miss.

I just placed a order for a pair today.........they told me a couple weeks but I'm betting it will be at least a month, based on the recent order volume. I met a guy last fall with a terrapin range finder, I don't know which model but was impressed enough to try thier latest version.

I'm hoping for similar results, being able to cvonsistantly range out to a mile will make shooting rocks and steel all the better

This was a good test for the beam divergence. Many Rf's would have stumbled here.

After looking at the picture with the horse closer it appears to me that there is no way the tree on the right side can only be one yard closer than the left tree.
Gonna go back out this AM and look around some more. Maybe I'll walk down and check.

Didn't see anything about the range finder on their web site, but did see a helmet pad that the government pays $486.00 and we can get the same one for $122.54 if I am reading it right. I guess that's where our taxes go.

I'm with Jeff on his comment.

You are beginning to reveal beam divergence fine points.

In the pic that Jeff commented on, note the fence wire on the deer's back. Wonder if that fence wire may have been detected?

The aiming circle sure seems to be the proper size for my liking. 1060 yds and the deer fits right in there. Beam divergence seems to be within the aiming circle.

Keep up the testing and reporting. I'm pretty much hooked.....
