Im now into looking for a good scope and have decided on a Horus reticle.
Im thinking of buying one of their scopes also. Id like to hear some feed back from guys that have them.
Im considering nightforce and us optics but the Horus are so much less expensive.

I read an article that they did a test with some marine shooters for scope clarity.
They used Nightforce S&B, US Optics, Horus and Leupold.
They covered all the scopes so the guys couldnt see which one they were using.
As far as clarity S&B was the best and leupold, nightforce and Horus were all the same tied in second place, and believe it or not USO scored dead last for clarity.

That tells me the Horus scopes have good clear glass.
Im not looking for bragging rights and hop on the bandwagon of "cool" scopes that everyone does with the nightforce, unless they are absolutely worth their price.

I like (from what I see on their site) the Horus Raptor 4-16 for under $850 but would just like some real world feedback and not any "go with nightforce because thats what I bought because everyone thinks Im cool for having one" type of thing

I too looked into the Horus scopes but lost interest with only 1 year limited warranty.

I happen to have had a Raptor on one of my rifles. This was an early tester R&D version of the Raptor with some different turrets then on the production model so it most likely is one of the oldest ones out there and still going strong.
I ran this optic for many thousands of rounds on a .308 then on a 6.5c and finally a 300rum. The scope tracked 100% is very durable for everything we put it through, and that was a lot of abuse, and the Reticle of course is excellent. The H25 reticle in this one is great especialy on the rum since you can take advantage of the range but the newer generations are even better. Once you lean how to use the reticle right you will never want anything else. I have never had an issue out the Hours vision stuff.

A pic of it on my 308 when I first got it

I'm with you this. There are just to many great scopes out there in this price range and all of the other ones have lifetime warranties

Which ones have a lifetime warranty in the $800 range with one of the horus reticles?
Id like to check it out

I didn't mean with the Horus reticle, I meant in general. Vortex, sightron, leupold, Zeiss, nikon, nightforce. I believe there are some bushnell elites that have the Horus reticle and these should have a lifetime warranty? It used to be a lifetime warranty but they call it a bulletproof warranty now and don't define what that is on the webpage

Well I know there are great optics in that price range, but I after looking at the horus reticles I really want one.
I know s&b, uso, nightforce all have some scopes with their reticle but I cant afford a $2000-$3500 scope

I think I read somewhere that Bushnell is going to offer one of their scopes with a horus reticle...does anyone know of this?

If I didnt want the horus reticle Id be picking up a sightron

I was editing my post when you replied, bushnell does have some but I'm not sure how much cheaper they are. Funny I don't need the Horus and in fact like the sightron LR MOA reticle so thats the route I'm going

The Bushnell HDMR is the only one that has it as of now. Its offered on Horus site only if I recall correctly and is priced higher then the Raptor. I have a buddy who has two of them and loves them but I have no personal experience with the HDMR.

Shoot Len a PM, I think he had some of the Horus/Bushnell's for sale in the optics section a while back.

I'm pretty sure he did a review on them as well.

Horus makes some of the best reticles on the market and I was going to buy one of their scopes until I saw the limited warranty.

I'll Stick with IOR, Leupold, and Zeiss Conquest until Horus can match their warranties.
