Is Federal Premium Brass in 300 RUM any good for a 338 edge, seems like Remington is the preferred brass but what about the federal stuff?

Thanks

Federal brass = great quality
Remington brass = mediocre to crap

I bought a bunch of Fed primed unfired new 300 RUM brass when it was available from a vendor several years ago. Great decision.

If you can get some, do it. In fact, PM me where to get more if you don't mind.

I bought 50 pieces for my 300 RUM - great quality - have 6 reloads on them so far.....

If you can find fed stuff I wouldnt tell anyone. I would take out a 2nd mortgage for 2k peices. Lotsa wildcats can be built on 300 brass and Nosler is big $$$$ and too soft for me. RP sucks.

Either there is a bunch of hype or you guys are searching enough or this is smoke and mirrors or I've been snookered.....again...

Looks like a whole crate of the stuff is just waiting to be snapped up @ 2 bucks each with a min of 500 pieces.

Same place I ordered from a long time ago. Split the order with a fella in Alaska.

For years they didn't stock it or couldn't get it or both. $2/case is too much though.

I havent looked in a while maybe its back. $2 a case is a joke Id buy the nosler and have 0 work for that $$$$

How hot are you loading them.

I load the rem cases an toss them after 5 shots as the primer will not stay in any longer. That is if the case is held upside down the primer hits the ground.

Loading a 270 AM at maximum.

I remember when D&L had Federal 300 RUM cases for sale a number of years ago. Think he was selling them for 50 cents a piece or so, but he was charging way too much for shipping. At that time he was based in Gillette, WY. I remember calling him and asked if I could have a friend who lived in Gillette stop by and pick up several hundred rounds. He absolutely refused. I figured pizz on him and skipped. At $2 a case, I'd say the same...
