What do you guys and gals feel is the best suppressor for the money. I will be using it on a 300 Win Mag. The other question is---Are they Worth it?

I paid $625 for the Yankee Hill Phantom 30. cal can and love it. Its a steel can so its a little heavier but it should stand up to the 300WM. I had the flash hiders installed on all my AR-15's so I can use the can on them as well.

Thanks for the reply. I just got off the phone with Freedom Armory and they actually recommended that suppressor for the 300 WM. - 32 DB and lifetime warranty. I am going to go see them in person.

I have the Yankee Hill phantom 30 cal. been shooting it for a year on a 5r 308 and its butter. Just finnished a build of a 300 wm 5r and will use the same can on it . For the money its great, but if I could go back and get the titanium one for some weight savings,,,, I would. my 308 feels like a 22 rifle with the can on it and with a berger 175 otm and lapua with 44 grns of rl 15 i can reach 1200 yards (and hit the steel target to!) I tried to attach a pic of the 5r 300wm. Just finnished the build!

Nice rifle. I just picked up some of the OTM's. I RL15, but want to try some of the AR Comp. Curious as to what your velocity is with your rifle. Do they seem to fly pretty consistent to 1000yds? Have you paper printed your rifle at 1000 with the OTM's? Thanks for the info.

Hey brother, I had my barrel cryogenically treat when I bought it. It 24 inch. My recipe is lapua brass trimmed 2.000 , fed gmm 210 primers and 44 grains rl 15 . From my oheler 35p including error since the chrono is 15ft away 2725fpr with 9 for sd. I have not printed on papaer I shoot steel gongs with a spotter. I have done several 3 shot groups under 7 inchs on a fresh pain job. I have been trying to make hornady 178 thp match loads with some sucsses. Its g7 bc keeps it super sonic to 1100 (oehler reades 2750 with 44 grains rl 15) the hornady are 28 buck for 100.... I have taken the berger to 1200 yards but only 3 times... . Also I shoot my cartridge at 2.815 for mag .length

I have never measured the headspace. Both of these loads have bullets that like some jump.. look up a guy named bryan lytz. He work for beger and wrote the bible I use. Or you can google secant vs tangent ogive. I for get which one it is but one like to be close to the lands the other it doesn't make a diffrence.... the round marked vld (very low drag) like being a few k off lands. With bryans hybrid ogive bullets you get the low drag high bc without finniky seating depths

I get all of that. Been at this for a while. First time playing with the OTM's. Guess I'm going to have to play with seating depth. Take care.
