Every batch of brass I get from Winchester for the last in large calibre always have dents in the casses, burrs in the mouth, I have even had a few that telescope the necks.
Does any of you guys finding this or am I the only one.

Yes, I have seen the same thing. It's even worse with yet Remington cases. Frequent problems with loose primer pockets. My buddies are seeing the same issues. I have gone almost exclusively to Lapua and Nosler , and Federal cases.

I have had up to 12% failure/reject rate with new Win. brass. I just contact customer dis-service, bitch about it, and they send coupons for another 100 brass. PITA, but still cheaper than the other options, and over all, really good brass.

I have also notice that imported bulk packaged WW brass looks quote poor.

The guality of the brass over the past few years has gone down hill.
maybe ,now that the war in Irag is over, the manufactors of the cartridge cases will be of a better quality! lightbulb

You're looking in the wrong place when you expect perfection in any low cost, bulk bagged brass. Get some RWS or Laupua cases instead, you'll probably like that much better but you'll likely have to pay a tad more for it.

Hey it could be worse.......... it could be raining............. In my 338 edge I am almost totally limited to rem brass.. Sorting new brass has come down to ...... centered flash hole... , off center flash hole~~~, extremely off center flash hole!!! , no flash hole at all #!$?#, etc, etc.

I've had the same problem with Win brass for my 7mag and 243. Winchester gave me coupon and mailed one bag of 243 brass. Just more brass to separate but its free.

I have problems with it as well. In .257 Bob I was planning to fire form some 257 Ackley for a guy and every single case has a crooked and off center flash hole which I found by ruining my decapping pin and bent an expander/decapping rod on the redding die. It was far easier to do than I would have imagined. I have had a Hornady zip spindle slip as I was pulling the case through the expander, then failed to notice and it did not slip back up with the next round and bent. But that was a first for a redding die.

+1. Bulk brass is inexpensive for a reason and contrary to what has been posted here, the mftrs DO NOT have two quality levels of sock brass

I have to question weather there are different quality control standards and here is why...... 3x 100 round remington brand 300 ultra brass bags purchased at cabellas= each bag included exactly 101 pieces of completely serviceable brass (no failures)........one box off 100 round "bulk" remington brand 300 ultra brass purchased from midway= 100 pieces including 2 with no flash hole at all, 1 with a deformed rim, 2 with flasholes so far out from center as to be unusable and 1 borderline............all in all only 94 pieces of useable brass...................... Could be coincidence or an isolated incident but enough to make me wonder....

i found the same thing with MIDWAY bulk items, lots of "rejects" and the price was not low enough to offset defective, sooooo quit buying from Midway.

I have heard that when the war broke out 10 years ago brass supply here went into short supply. Over time, some companies enlisted contract manufacturing in Asia to help fill demand. If true, we all know the rest of the story.
