Was just wondering what the best press would be to reload for the 338 Lapua. Price is really not an issue, just need a little feed back if possible.

I have been using the Redding T-7 for years now on my .338 LM. I love the fact I can have all 3 of the comp dies set up perfectly and never have to reset. Simply rotate to the next die. Plus it still leaves 3 holes in the plate for my 300 win. My ammo has never been more concentric and consistant. I like it so much I bought another so my son and I can load together.

I would suggest the Redding Ultramag. Pleanty of ram length and the press is built to very tight tolerances. Like Broz, I like it so much I bought 2.

I bought Lee's press kit for the 50BMG, the whole set-up was not expensive and it has all the bushings or adapters to use regular dies for regular calibers and has the dies for your 50, and the leverage on it makes re-sizing a 338 feel like a .223 and when you get a 50 you'll already have the press and dies. I'm just saying.

+1 on the ultramag. I use it for 338LM and my 338LM Improved.

My Rockcrusher II was too short to take the 338LM, but I still use it for 7 Dakota, 7WSM, and 6x47L.

New here but i use my RCBS Ammomaster- large opening, plenty of leverage. My older Rock Crusher works well too..
