Will be having one made very soon and looking for info on what twist I should use? Plan on shooting 140-142 grain bullets.
Berger recommends an eight for their 140's.
I have a 1-9 twist 6.5 STW and it stabilizes the 140's well. It is a fun gun to shoot with the 140's around 3400 fps. Check the ballistics of a .612 or whatever bc at 3400 fps and you see why I like it so much. It is a very accurate cartridge. I had a good friend that shot a 6.5-300 wby years ago but I went with the STW because of the cheap brass. Same performance and both fun to shoot.
