The trigger is really crummy any ideas on an after market?gun)
i'm used to the 2 stage on the mini-14. my mini is no were near stock and while its not bolt gun accurate it holds 1 moa with good ammo. I did the trigger job myself and it braks as clean as any premium bolt gun trigger does (once you come to the second) i also added a take up screw so there is minimum travel to the second stage. It is kind of funny when someone who has never shot one goes to shoot it and tells me my triggers broke cause it didn't go off at the end of the stroke!I put a Geissele SSA-E (i beleave it was) and it was nice and easy to install your self. The down side was it cost about $200 and was a two stage trigger some thing that i had never been around and took some getting use to.
the geissle i have is non-adjustable but they make a lot of adjustable triggers. i worked up a load for my dpms and it was 42.5 grains of HODGDON (VARGET) powder and 168 grain hornady match BTHP bullets with a col of 2.800" and it shoot nice in that gun and feeds well.i'm used to the 2 stage on the mini-14. my mini is no were near stock and while its not bolt gun accurate it holds 1 moa with good ammo.
